Transferring files from your hard drive to your Zip® drive is simple, just follow the steps below.

1. Locate the file(s) you wish to move to your Zip drive.




To locate files using Windows® Explorer, use the following steps.

1. Click the Start button



2. Select Programs.



3. Select Windows Explorer.



2. Highlight the file(s) you wish to copy by clicking the file(s).




Note: You can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking the files.


3. Drag the selected file(s) to your Zip drive icon.

What types of files can I transfer to my Zip drive?

• Word Processor files



• Spreadsheet files



• Financial information



• Audio files



• Video files



• Graphics



• Scanned data or pictures



• Backup files



• Internet downloads



• Presentations for work



Note: Nearly any type of file can be transferred to your Zip disk, however, if you transfer program files (Word, Quicken®, Paint Shop, etc.) you will not be able to run the programs from your Zip disk.
