HP® DeskJet® printers maintain bi-directional communication between the computer and printer. This can cause a conflict while trying to use your Iomega® parallel port drive. To use your printer with the Iomega parallel port drive, you should have the latest IomegaWare software or you must disable bi-directional communication between the computer and printer. To do this, please follow the steps below:
Iomega recommends that you use the latest version of the IomegaWare software before further troubleshooting. Please use the following steps to download the latest IomegaWare software at
http://www.iomega.com/software/
To determine the configuration file name, you will need to know the printer model number, the operating system and the driver version of your HP software. To determine the driver version of your software:
