The Epson® Action Laser and Stylus® InkJet printers install their own virtual device driver (epxlpt.vxd). This Epson virtual driver was not designed to allow the printer to share the same port with any other parallel port devices.
Note: If you would like more information concerning Epson printers, please visit the Epson Web site at http://www.epson.com/
One solution is to replace the Epson driver with the Windows® parallel port default driver (lpt.vxd.).
A second possible solution is to install a second parallel port on the computer.
Note: If you would like more information on selecting and installing a second parallel port on the computer, please contact the computer's manufacturer for advice on purchasing and installing a second parallel port.
Please use the following steps to replace the Epson virtual driver with the Windows default driver in Windows 98/95.
Note: If there is no EPSON Printer Port listed, the printer drivers were not installed properly. Please refer to the printer owner's manual for troubleshooting instructions or contact the computer manufacturer.
Note: If there is no Driver tab accessible, the printer drivers were not installed properly. Please refer to the printer owner's manual for troubleshooting instructions or contact ther computer manufacturer.
If the Printer Port option is listed, please proceed to STEP TWO.
If the Printer Port option is not listed, please continue.
If there are bent or broken pins, please go to the Iomega Warranty and Returns page at http://www.iomega.com/support/returns/index.html
If the pins are straight, reconnect the parallel port cable to the back of the Iomega drive and to the computer's parallel port. Please continue.
If the Iomega drive is listed with an assigned drive letter, you are now ready to use the drive.
