HP® LaserJet® printers maintain bi-directional communications between the computer and printer. This can cause a conflict while trying to use your Iomega® parallel port drive. With the HP LaserJet 2100 and 3100 printer, the software is not compatible with the Iomega parallel port drives. The printer must be connected directly to a dedicated parallel port.

You have the option to install a second parallel port on your computer to run the Iomega parallel port drive. This will allow the Iomega parallel port drive and the HP LaserJet printer to work on the same computer. Please contact your computer dealer for advice and instructions on installing a second parallel port on your computer.
