Backup software uses special formatting to compress the backup files to disk or tape. Third-party software cannot properly read Iomega® Zip®, Jaz®, Peerless™ disks or Ditto® tapes and may cause the backup software to lock up the computer. To resolve this problem, always use Iomega backup software when backing up to your Iomega Zip, Jaz or Peerless disks or Ditto tape drives.
