Important: If you are having problems detecting your parallel port drive in Windows® 98/95 and you have printer software installed (the printer need not be attached), check the version of Iomega® software you have installed. If you have a version less than IomegaWare 2.5, upgrading to IomegaWare 2.5 corrects most issues with parallel port software on your computer. The IomegaWare 2.5 software can be downloaded from the iomega Web site at

Epson® installs a Status Monitor for use with the Epson Stylus 500 or 600 printer. The Status Monitor will not allow another device to share the parallel port correctly. Use the following instructions to disable the status monitor.
