iStorage Online Tutorial |

Getting started with iStorage Online
is easy:
- Click "Access your
account" from istorage.iomega.com
- Upload the files you choose.
(Up to nine at a time.)
Once your files have been uploaded,
they are backed up and you can retrieve or share your
data whenever, wherever you want, from the Internet. |
Access your account
Your online storage account offers you
three interface options, including two styles of Web access
and the iStorage desktop utility. You can choose these options
from the Personal Settings link, or toggle between options at
the top, right-hand portion of the screen after log in:
- The iStorage Online Light
Web interface is recommended for large/multiple file
transfers using a PC Web browser, Palm or Blackberry.
(Pictured below.)
- Drag-and-drop Web access
is recommended for infrequent use. (Requires Active-X.)
- The iStorage Desktop Software
is best for day-to-day use. Just set it and you can
forget about backups. This interface automatically
connects to iStorage each time you start your computer,
giving you desktop access directly through Windows
Explorer.

Upload, Backup or Sync your files with
iStorage
Just drag-and-drop files using an Active-X
enabled browser, or use the desktop utility to upload, download
and synchronize your data—it’s that easy. To upload
data that you want to securely archive or share, just drag-and-drop
files or entire folders from your local drive or network to
your iStorage Online interface. You can also set up an automatic
backup schedule to protect critical files from crashes and viruses.
Simply assign your backup settings and times and iStorage Online
will automatically save your data.

Retrieve and share your data
To download your data, simply go to
http://istorage.iomega.com
and choose the files that you need. Each file will be downloaded
in its original format and setting, to its original location.
To share data, use iStorage WhaleMail
to send links to the files you choose. You can even share files
with other iStorage users. (See sharing preferences).
Set Auto Back-up
iStorage Online makes it easy for you to quickly and easily
backup and retrieve your data. Set the times and settings for
your backup, and you’re done!
Even if you're offline at the designated backup time, this iStorage
Online utility remembers to backup as soon as you get back online.
