401k Plan
The 401(k) Plan is a retirement plan that allows employees to set aside a portion of their income on a pre-tax basis for retirement. Employees are eligible on their first day of employment.
- Employees may contribute from 2% to 50% of pretax pay, up to the annual IRS dollar limit ($16,000 in 2008). More than 25 investment options are offered through Fidelity Investments.

- Match I - For every $1.00 you contribute up to $750, the company will match $1.00
- Match II - For every $1.00 you contribute up to 8% of your compensation (after the first $750), the company will match $.60
- 2-year cliff vesting
- 0% on one-year anniversary
- 100% on two-year anniversary
Flexible Spending
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's) let employees set aside a portion of their income, tax-free, to help pay for certain health care and dependent care expenses.
Health Care FSA
Employees may use this account to pay for eligible health care expenses not covered by their health care plan. Some examples include deductibles, office visit and prescription co-pays, and other eligible out-of-pocket expenses.
Dependent Care FSA
Employees may use this account to pay for eligible dependent care expenses.
Basic Life Insurance
Effective on the first day of employment, Iomega provides Basic Life Insurance in the amount of $50,000 as an automatic benefit at no cost to the employee.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Employees may buy optional Supplemental Life Insurance in addition to the automatic Basic Life amount, for themselves, their spouse and/or their dependent children.
Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance covers an employee or the employee's family in the event of death or dismemberment related to an accident. Iomega provides AD&D coverage in the amount of $50,000 as an automatic benefit at no cost to the employee.
Supplemental Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)
Employees may buy optional Supplemental AD&D Insurance in addition to the automatic Basic AD&D amount for themselves or for their family.
Short Term Disability Insurance
Iomega provides a basic short-term disability plan after 6 months of service for 90 calendar days. Percentage of pay varies from 50% - 75% based on length of service.
Long Term Disability Insurance
Long Term Disability (LTD) provides a benefit if an employee is unable to work for a long period of time due to a non-work related illness or injury. If approved, Iomega provides for basic LTD income protection in the amount of 50 percent of your monthly base pay plus targeted commission (for sales employees) up to $5,000 per month.
For additional protection, Iomega offers a voluntary buy-up option which allows you to receive an additional 10 percent of your monthly base pay for a total of 60% percent disability income up to $15,000 per month.
You are eligible for this benefit after 90 days of certified disability.
Long Term Care Insurance
Long term care benefits can be used to pay for eligible nursing home, home health care, adult day care, and assisted living expenses. Several options are offered and premiums are based on age at the time of eligibility. Eligible on date of hire.
Paid Vacation
Paid Time off is on a pay period basis and ranges from 3 weeks up to a maximum of 6 weeks, based upon length of service. Available after 30 days of employment.
Paid Holidays
Eleven paid holidays per year. Effective on date of hire.
Adoption Assistance Program
Eligible after 6 months of service. Provides up to $2,500 benefit per adoption, lifetime benefit of $10,000.
Employee Assistance Program
Provides professional and confidential counseling and referral services to you and your family.
