| Iomega Recruiting Process: An Overview |
Please note: Iomega has recently changed its application process. We no longer accept résumés received through e-mail, fax, or hard copy. Résumés received in any form other than online through our new recruiting database at www.iomegajobs.com will not be considered.
Iomega Recruiting Process
This overview is provided to help you understand Iomega's recruiting process, from online résumé submission, to the interview, and beyond. (Iomega uses many different methods to recruit and hire employees. The following is meant only to illustrate the most common recruiting scenario.)
Step 1: The Potential Candidate Submits a Résumé for an Open Position
In order to be considered for a position with Iomega, you must enter your résumé into our database at www.iomegajobs.com. This process will take approximately three to five minutes or less if you are already registered on Monster.com. You should receive a reply email within a few minutes, letting you know we’ve received your application. Do not phone to follow up. The email is your receipt confirmation. Again, we no longer accept résumés received through e-mail, fax or by hard copy.
Step 2: Recruiter Identifies Best Candidates by Reviewing Résumés
The Iomega recruiter reads résumés that are posted to the database in response to an open position. Each résumé is reviewed to see how well it matches the position's requirements. Due to the large volume of résumés we receive, we regret that we cannot reply to each candidate individually regarding the status of their résumé in this process.
Step 3: Interviews Begin with the Most Competitive Candidates for the Position
If your résumé meets all of our criteria, you may be scheduled for an interview with hiring representatives from within the company. These interviews are most often conducted face-to-face; however, some interviews may be conducted via phone or video conferencing. Candidates usually have several interviews, each with a different member of the hiring team. The decision is reached by consensus, considering the input from all members of the hiring team.
Step 4: Recruiter Contacts the Selected Candidate
After the hiring team reaches a decision, the Iomega recruiter contacts the candidate who best meets the requirements for the position and offers them the job. If the candidate declines to accept the position, the recruiter may then offer the position to the next most qualified applicant.
Step 5: Recruiter Closes the Position
Once the position has been filled it will be removed from the website. Résumés are kept on our database for approximately six months. Candidates who remain on our database may be sought again for future positions as part of our recruiting process.
Common Questions
What if I am interested in more than one position?
If you are interested in more than one position, you must apply to each of them separately at www.iomegajobs.com.
How do I follow up to make sure my résumé has been received?
If you submit your résumé through the iomegajobs.com website, you will receive an e-mail reply that confirms receipt of your résumé. That, and only that, will serve as confirmation of your résumé’s receipt. Please do not call to follow up. If you are unsure of receipt, feel free to reapply to the database.
How do I find out if a position I applied for has been filled?
All positions that are currently open will be listed on the website. Once a position is filled, it will be removed from the website.
Should I also submit my résumé via fax, regular mail and personal delivery?
No. The only way to apply for a job at Iomega is through the www.iomegajobs.com website. If you do not have on-line resources, you can find them at your local library, Internet cafés, Kinko’s, and more.
What if I would like to know more information about a job opening?
All the information that is available for specific positions is posted on the website.
What if I am interested in a position that is not currently available?
You will not be able to apply for a position unless we have an opening. Our database will not allow for applications to jobs that don’t exist. Please check our jobs’ website regularly, as it is updated every week.
