How do I access the DVD multimedia tutorials?

You can access the DVD multimedia tutorials by going to http://download.iomega.com/com/support/tutorials/dvd/start_tutorial.html

Which browsers are supported when using the DVD multimedia tutorials?

Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 and above or Netscape® 4.0 and above (except for Netscape 6.0, which is not supported by Shockwave).

Is software required to view the DVD multimedia tutorials?

Yes, Shockwave must be installed in order to view the DVD multimedia tutorials. When you open the DVD multimedia tutorials and select a task, you will be prompted to install Shockwave.

The Shockwave software will not install when I access the DVD multimedia tutorials

If the software will not install when being accessed through a firewall, then you will need to disable the proxy server settings, install the software and then enable the proxy server settings again. Please use the following steps.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools and then Internet Options.

  3. Click the Connections tab.

  4. Click the LAN Settings button.

  5. Under the Proxy server section, remove the check mark located next to Use a proxy server.

  6. Click OK and then open the DVD multimedia tutorial again and select a task. The software should now install.

  7. Once the software is installed, use the steps above and instead of removing the check mark next to Use a proxy server, replace the check mark to enable the proxy server settings again.

If the software will still not install, then try changing the Internet Explorer security settings to the default settings. Please use the following steps.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools and then Internet Options.

  3. Click the Security tab.

  4. Click the Default Level button.

  5. Click Apply, OK and then open the DVD multimedia tutorial again and select a task.
