Please use the following steps to create a slideshow using the MyDVD software.
- Open the Sonic MyDVD software.
- From the left side of the Welcome to Sonic MyDVD window, choose either DVD-Video or VCD-Video.
- Under Select a Project Type, select either the option to Create or Modify a DVD-Video Project or Create or Modify a Video CD Project.
- From the left side of the project window, click the Add Slideshow icon.
- From the left side of the Create Slideshow window, click the Get Pictures icon.
- Select the pictures you want in your slideshow and then click the Open button.
Note: The slideshow can hold up to 99 images.
- At the top of the Create Slideshow window, you can select either Filmstrip, Thumbnails or Details for the style in which to view your pictures.
- Once all of the pictures you want in your slideshow are present, you can click the Rotate icon to rotate any pictures you select in 90 degree increments..
- If you want to select the image you would like shown as the menu button, click one of the pictures from you slideshow layout and then click the Button Image icon.
- Click the Settings icon if you would like to turn off/change the slideshow duration time and transition effects or if you would like to add music, change the background (letterbox) color or select an option to archive the original pictures on the DVD or VCD disc. Click OK to save any changes.
- If you decide you want to change the order of the images in your slideshow, click and drag the images you want to the location of your choice.
- Click OK to close the Create Slideshow window. If you need to make changes, double-click the slideshow's menu button to access the Create Slideshow window again.
- From the options bar towards the top of the project window, select Edit Style. From here you can change the text, menu and music options and also change the background and button styles and colors. Click OK to save any changes.
- MyDVD gives the menu button for your slideshow a generic name (Untitled Slideshow). To change the name, click the name and then type in the name you would like for your slideshow.
- If you would like to see how the slideshow will look as a DVD, click the Preview button at the bottom of the project window. You should now be able to view your project as a fully functional DVD. Click Stop to end the preview.
- If you are satisfied with the slideshow, click the Burn button at the bottom of the project window.
- If you are prompted to save your project, click Yes. Enter a name for your project and click Save.
- From the Disc Setup window, select your drive and the number of copies you want and then click OK.
- MyDVD is now ready to turn your slideshow into a DVD or VCD disc. A progress bar will appear at the bottom of the project window. If you need to cancel the process, click Cancel.
- Once your DVD or VCD is burned successfully, you can now play your video using the CinePlayer software that came with your Iomega® drive or on your home DVD player.
