How do I take video clips stored on my hard drive and create a DVD or VCD movie using MyDVD™?
Document # 11807e.html

Please use the following steps to use video clips stored on your hard drive to create a DVD or VCD disc.

  1. Open the Sonic™ MyDVD software.

  2. From the left side of the Welcome to Sonic MyDVD window, choose either DVD-Video or VCD-Video.

  3. Under Select a Project Type, select either the option to Create or Modify a DVD-Video Project or Create or Modify a Video CD Project.

  4. From the left side of the project window, click the Get Movies icon.

  5. Browse to the location where your video clips are located.

  6. Select the video clips you would like added to your project and then click the Open button.

  7. From the options bar towards the top of the project window, select Edit Style. From here you can change the text, menu and music options and also change the background and button styles and colors. Click OK to save any changes.

  8. If you decide you want to change the name of a video clip, click the name below the button and then type in the name you would like to use.

  9. If you would like to see how the video clips look as a DVD, click the Preview button at the bottom of the project window. You should now be able to view your project as a fully functional DVD. Click Stop to end the preview.

  10. If you are satisfied, click the Burn button at the bottom of the project window.

  11. If you are prompted to save your project, click Yes. Enter a name for your project and click Save.

  12. From the Disc Setup window, select your drive and the number of copies you want and then click OK.

  13. MyDVD is now ready to turn your video clips into a DVD or VCD disc. A progress bar will appear at the bottom of the project window. If you need to cancel the process, click Cancel.

  14. Once your DVD or VCD is burned successfully, you can now play your disc using the CinePlayer™ software that came with your Iomega® drive or with your home DVD player.

If you experience problems playing the DVD or VCD discs you create, please refer to document http://www.iomega.com/europe/support/english/documents/11742e.html for information on where the discs you create can be played. For additional information on creating DVDs, VCDs and the options that are available, please refer to the MyDVD Tutorials or Help files.
