Which types of CD or DVD discs can be formatted? Document # 11803e.html Rewriteable CD-RW, DVD+RW and DVD-RW discs can be formatted using Iomega® HotBurn® (HotBurn Pro version 2.3.1 or higher for DVD discs) as long as the drive supports the disc type used. Non-rewriteable CD-R, DVD+R and DVD-R discs cannot be formatted using any version of HotBurn.
