If after installing the HotBurn® software you get a "Fatal Exception oe has occurred at xxxx:xxxxxxxx in vxd dragburn(01)+00026ebd" error. Use the following suggestions:

STEP ONE - Uninstall other burning software

If you have additional burning software installed on your computer, you will need to uninstall that software and then uninstall and reinstall HotBurn

STEP TWO - Disable Windows XP burning software

Note: If you do not have Windows XP, proceed to STEP THREE

If you have Windows XP you will need to disable the Windows XP system burning software. Please use the following instructions:

1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
   
   
2. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon and select Properties.
   
   
3. Select the Recording tab.
   
   
4. Remove the check mark from the Enable CD recording on this drive option.
   
   

STEP THREE - Uninstall and reinstall the HotBurn software

The HotBurn software may be corrupt. Uninstall and reinstall HotBurn software. Use the following documents to help you uninstall and then reinstall the HotBurn software.

STEP FOUR - Install the HotBurn software without the Drag and Burn option

If you are still getting the Exception error, it is possible that something on your system is conflicting with HotBurn Drag and Drop. Uninstall the HotBurn software, then reinstall it without the Drag and Burn software option. See document http://www.iomega.com/europe/support/english/documents/11285e.html When you see the option to install Drag and Burn select not to install that option.
