How do I save a CD or DVD layout or playlist in Iomega® HotBurn® or HotBurn Pro?
Document #11540e.html

Iomega® HotBurn® and HotBurn Pro software gives you the option to save a CD or DVD project, which is a copy of the options and files selected within the HotBurn console, so that a duplicate of the CD or DVD can be created at a later time. This makes creating multiple copies of a CD or DVD easy, especially if you need to close the HotBurn software at different intervals while creating the discs. Just use the steps below to save and load CD and DVD projects.

How to save CD and DVD projects

Please use the following steps to save a CD or DVD project.

Note: If you have already created a CD or DVD and want to save the present layout as a project, proceed to step E below.

  1. Open the HotBurn software.

  2. Click either the Music CD, Data CD or Mixed button.

Note: If the Mixed button for mixed mode CDs is not present, click the HotBurn options button and then click Enable Mixed Mode CD? if you are using HotBurn or Enable Pro Features? if you are using HotBurn Pro.

  3. Click the Explore button to navigate to the location where your files are stored.

  4. Click the files you want to add to your CD or DVD and drag them into the layout window. You may also click the Add button to add the selected files to the layout window.

  5. Continue adding files to the layout window until all of the files you want are present or until the disc is full.

  6. Click the HotBurn options button at the top of the console and then click Save Project.

  7. Select a name for your CD or DVD project and then click Save.

How to load CD and DVD projects

Please use the following steps to load a CD or DVD project that has already been created.

  1. Click the HotBurn options button at the top of the console and then click Load Project.

  2. Select the name of the CD or DVD project you saved (for example: Iomega Project.hbp) and click Open.
