- Place either a blank disc or a disc with sufficient space left on it into your CD-RW drive. The HotBurn software should Autolaunch if not already open.
Note: If the HotBurn software does not Autolaunch; click Start, Programs, Iomega HotBurn and Iomega HotBurn.
- Click the Data CD button.
- Click the Explore button to navigate to the location where the data files are stored.
Note: If you know the location of the data files, you can drag and drop the data files directly into the CD layout window instead. (Hint: If you select multiple files and you want to keep the files in order, select the first file listed and then drag them into the CD layout window.)
- Click the data files you want to add to your CD and click the Add button.
- Continue adding data files to the CD layout until all of the files you want are present or until the disc is full.
Note: Click the Settings button to view the HotBurn CD creation settings. Iomega recommends that you select the 'Simulate First?' option if you are experiencing CD creation errors.
- If you want to name the disc, click the disc name field at the top of the CD creation window and type a name. If you want to change the name of a file, double-click the data file and type the new name.
- Click the Create CD button.
- Once the CD writing session is done, click the Complete button.
Note: If you create a CD label now, the information from the CD will automatically be exported into the CD Label Designer program. If you create a CD label later, the information cannot be exported and it will need to be typed in manually.
- Just repeat the steps above each time you want to create a session on the disc until the disc is full.
