The purpose of the green LED light is to let you know that the IomegaŽ Mini Drive is functioning. The LED will flash differently dependant on what you are doing with the drive. Here is a list of times that the LED blinks and a description of what the blinking means.

• Connecting the drive - The LED will illuminate when connecting the Iomega Mini Drive to inform you the computer has detected the drive.
  
  
• Transferring files - The LED will blink rapidly when data is being transferred to the drive.
  

  Important! Do not disconnect the Iomega Mini USB drive while data is being transferred - Data loss could result.

• When not in use - The LED will slowly pulse when the drive is not in use, indicating that the drive is detected and ready for use.
