The steps to format your Iomega® Mini USB drive are dependant upon whether you are using a Macintosh® or a Windows® PC. The steps may also vary dependant upon the version of the operating system you are using.

Warning : Formatting the Iomega Mini USB drive will erase all data on the drive.

Windows 98/SE/Me/2000/XP

1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
   
   
2. Right-click the drive letter of the Iomega Mini USB drive and choose Format.
   
   
3. Select the option to do a Full format.
   
   
4. Click Start.
   
   
5. Click Close once the format process completes.
   
   

Mac® OS 8.6 - 9.2

1. Highlight the disk icon that mounts for the Iomega Mini drive.
   
   
2. Click Special and choose Erase.
   
   
3. Select the format type (i.e. Mac OS Standard, Mac OS Extended, MS-DOS) and click Erase.
   

   Note: If you cannot see any format type except DOS or MS-DOS, disable File Sharing in the Extensions Manager™ using the following steps:

   1. Click the Apple icon, select the Control Panel and then Extensions Manager.
      
      
   2. Uncheck File Sharing.
      
      
   3. Restart the computer.
      
      

Mac OS X

1. Click GO from the menu bar along the top and choose Applications.
   
   
2. Double-click the Utilities folder.
   
   
3. Double-click the Disk Utility.
   
   
4. Select the Mini Drive on the left.
   
   
5. Click the Erase tab on the right.
   
   
6. Select the format type (i.e. Mac OS Standard, Mac OS Extended, MS-DOS) and click Erase.
