Why didn't my Zip® 750MB FireWire® drive come with a power supply?
Document #11443e.html

The Zip® 750MB FireWire® drive does not come with a power supply. The FireWire interface usually provides enough power to the drive when using the 6-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable that came with the drive. You will need a power supply for the drive under the following conditions:

  • If your computer has a 4-pin connector.

  • If you have more than one FireWire device connected to the same FireWire interface.

For additional questions about using the Zip 750 FireWire drive with a 4-pin connector, please e-mail Iomega Technical Support at http://www.iomega.com/support/app/csemail/jsp/CsEmailForm.jsp?&p_Region=EU&p_Language_Type=EN
