Please use the following steps to determine which Iomega® CD-RW, DVD or ZipCD™ 650 drive you own.

Important: This list was created to help Iomega CD-RW, DVD and ZipCD 650 customers determine which drive they own. If you do not have an Iomega brand CD-RW drive, please contact your CD-RW drive manufacturer for more information.

STEP ONE - Find the product logo

Note: If a logo is not present on the front face plate of your drive, proceed to STEP TWO

If you have a top loading drive and the product logo on the lid looks similar to one of the images below, you have an Iomega CD-RW Predator™ drive.

  

If you have a front loading drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to one of the images below, you have an Iomega CD-RW drive.

  

If you have a front loading external drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to the image below, you have an Iomega Super DVD Writer/All-Format USB 2.0 drive. This is the only all-format external USB DVD drive Iomega has shipped.



If you have a front loading internal drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to the image below, you have an Iomega Super DVD Writer/All-Format ATAPI drive. This is the only all-format internal DVD writer Iomega has shipped.



If you have a front loading internal drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to the image below, you have an Iomega DVD Dual +/-RW drive. This is the only DVD+/-RW drive Iomega has shipped.



If you have a front loading internal drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to the image below, you have an Iomega DVD+RW drive. This is the only DVD+RW drive Iomega has shipped.



If you have a front loading drive and the product logo on the face plate looks similar to the image below, you have an Iomega ZipCD drive.

STEP TWO - Look at the back of your drive or adapter to determine the interface of your drive

USB 1.1 and 2.0 Interface - The connection will look like the illustration below. The USB symbol may also be listed on your drive.





FireWire® Interface - The connection will look like the illustration below. The FireWire symbol may also be listed on your drive.





ATAPI Interface - All the internal drives have an ATAPI interface. The back of your drive should look similar to the illustration below.

STEP THREE - Determine the speed of your drive

Iomega CD-RW Predator Drives

Iomega CD-RW Predator drives have three different speeds depending on the design of the drive and the interface. Please refer to the table below.

Iomega CD-RW, DVD and ZipCD Drives

Iomega CD-RW, DVD and ZipCD drives usually have the speed of the drive referenced on the front face plate as shown in the illustrations below.

Note: If the speed of your drive is not referenced on the front face plate, proceed to STEP FOUR

STEP FOUR - Pictures and names

Using the table below, locate the picture that looks like your drive. Listed next to each picture are all of the drives that look like the picture shown. Using the pictures in the table below and the information provided in the previous steps, you should be able to determine which drive you own.

Important: If you still are unsure after using the table below, you can also look for your drive's model or model number on the product label, which is located on either the bottom or top of the drive. Browse through the list of model/model numbers listed in the table below to help you find your drive. (Some of the drives had multiple model/model numbers, so all of the model numbers available for each drive may not be listed.)
