Please use the following steps to uninstall the Iomega® HotBurn® or HotBurn® Pro software from your computer.
Select an operating system
Windows | Macintosh
Windows®
- Click Start, highlight Settings and click Control Panel.
Note: Windows XP users, click Start and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Note: Windows Me users, please click view all Control Panel options if the Add/Remove Programs icon is not present.
- Click the Install/Uninstall tab.
Note: Windows 2000/XP users, select Change or Remove Programs on the left hand side of the Add/Remove Programs window.
- Click one of the following files to highlight (all of these files may not be present on your system):
- Iomega App Services
- Iomega HotBurn
- Iomega CD-RW
- Click the Add/Remove button.
Note: Windows 2000/XP users, click the Change/Remove button.
- Continue using steps D and E above to remove all of the programs that are present from your computer.
- Once the software is uninstalled, click OK.
- Click Yes or OK to restart your computer if prompted.
The CD-RW drive and software should now be removed from your computer.
Macintosh®
- Ensure that your hard drive is selected.
- From the Apple® menu bar, click File and then Find.
- Select Files.
- Type HotBurn in the open text box.
- Click the magnifying glass button to begin the search.
- Once the HotBurn files and folders are found, click Edit on the Apple menu bar and choose Select all.
- Click File and select Move to Trash.
- Click Special and select Empty Trash.
The CD-RW drive and software should now be removed from your computer.
