Please check the following if the internal Iomega® CD-RW (ZipCD) drive is not receiving power:
Warning: Unplug power to the computer before checking any of the internal power connections. Plug the computer back in when you are finished checking the items below.
- Ensure that the internal computer power supply is connected to the back of the CD-RW drive. (Even if you remember connecting the internal power supply, check it again to ensure that it did not come loose during installation.)
- Check the power connections to ensure that they are secure.
- If the computer does not have a spare internal power supply, use a power Y-cable to supply power to the CD-RW drive (available from computer retailer's).
- Try plugging the computer into a different power outlet.
