This error message occurs when you try to drag and drop information to an unformatted CD-RW disc.

To help prevent this error, ensure that you are using a formatted disc before you try to drag and drop information to your CD-RW disc. If your disc is not formatted, please use the steps below to format your disc.

1. Insert a blank CD-RW disc into your CD-RW drive. The HotBurn Format window should now appear.
   
   
2. In the open text box, type a name for your disc.
   

   Note: It may take up to 90 minutes to format your CD-RW disc, depending on the speed of the burner you are using. You cannot abort the format process once it begins.

3. Click Start.
   
   
4. Click Yes to begin formatting your disc. The HotBurn Format progress window will now appear.
   
   
5. Once HotBurn is finished formatting your CD-RW disc, click OK.
