How do I use Sherlock® to uninstall the Adaptec® (Roxio™) Toast® software from my Macintosh® computer?

Sherlock® is available on Mac® OS 8.5 or later. Use Sherlock to remove the Adaptec® (Roxio™) Toast® software from your computer using the following steps:

STEP ONE - Delete the Toast software

  1. Click the Apple® icon and locate Sherlock (or Sherlock2 depending on your operating system version).

  2. Select Custom from the drop-down menu and click Edit.

    Note: Make certain that your hard drive is checked, especially if you have multiple drives.

  3. Check the box for file name.

  4. Type Toast in the open text box next to contains.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click the Magnifying glass icon to begin the search.

  7. Continue with the next step.

STEP TWO - Delete the Toast folders and files

  1. Go to the Edit menu and choose Select all.

  2. Go to File and select Move to Trash.

  3. Click Finder, go to Special and select Empty Trash.

  4. Restart your computer for changes to take effect.
