The error message shown below is displayed if the DATABASE.DLL file is missing or corrupt in the Adaptec® Easy CD Creator software. You will need to uninstall the Easy CD Creator software, empty the Temp file, reboot the computer and reinstall the software.

Please use the following steps to correct this issue:
STEP ONE - Uninstall all Adaptec software
- Click Start, choose Settings and click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Scroll down the list and highlight Adaptec Easy CD Creator.
- Click the Remove button to uninstall the software.
- Continue with the next step.
STEP TWO - Empty the Temp folder
- Double-click the My Computer icon.
- Double-click the C drive icon.
- Double-click the Windows folder.
- Locate the Temp folder and double-click to open.
- Press Ctrl-A to select all the files in the Temp folder.
- Press the Delete key.
Note: If a file cannot be deleted, skip that file. Make a note of the file name and delete the other Temp files.
- Restart your computer and continue with the next step.
STEP THREE - Reinstall the Adaptec software using the software CD
- Place the software CD that came with your drive into your CD-ROM drive.
- The CD tour should begin automatically. Choose the install option.
Note: If the installation program does not start automatically:
- Double-click the My Computer icon.
- Double-click the CD-ROM icon.
- Double-click Zip CD_Tour.exe or Iomega_CDRW.exe.
- Follow the screen prompts to complete the software installation.
