The write speed in DirectCD™ will need to be changed if you want to write at a specific speed to a CD-R or CD-RW disc. Please use the following steps to change the DirectCD write speed.

1. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc, compatible with the speed you want DirectCD to write at, into your CD-RW drive.
   
   
2. Click Start, Programs, Iomega CD-RW (or Iomega ZipCD) and DirectCD Wizard.
   
   
3. Read the Welcome page and click Next.
   
   
4. Click the drive letter for your CD-RW drive.
   
   
5. Click the Properties button.
   
   
6. Click the Settings tab.
   
   
7. Under CD Recorder Speed, choose the write speed you want to use from the drop-down box.
   
   
8. Click the Apply button.
   
   

The write speed should now be set. Continue using the on-screen steps to format and/or write to the disc.
