How do I make an audio CD out of MP3 files while using my Iomega® CD-RW USB or FireWire® or ZipCD™ USB drive on my Macintosh® computer?
Document #10620e.html

The version of Adaptec® (Roxio™) Toast™ software that ships with the Iomega® CD-RW USB and FireWire® and ZipCD™ USB drives does not support the MP3 file format. However, there are a couple of ways you can make audio CDs out of MP3 files while using your Iomega CD-RW or ZipCD drive on your Macintosh® computer.

  • You can download programs that convert MP3 files into AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format) and use the version of Toast software that came with your Iomega CD-RW or ZipCD drive to burn the AIFF files onto an audio CD.

  • You can purchase Adaptec (Roxio) Toast 4 Deluxe software, which can convert your MP3 files into audio CD files. Toast 4 Deluxe software can be purchased from the Adaptec (Roxio) Web site at http://www.roxio.com
