How do I manually eject a disc from my internal Iomega CD-RW (ZipCD™) drive?

Please locate the appropriate Iomega CD-RW (ZipCD™) drive listed below and follow the steps to manually eject a disc from your drive.

ZipCD 4x4x24 ATAPI drive

    Caution: Never remove a disc manually while your ZipCD drive is on.

  1. Ensure your computer is off and unplug your computer's power cord from the electrical outlet.

  2. Insert your fingernail into the slot on the upper left-hand corner of your ZipCD drive door and gently pull downward until the door opens.

  3. Insert a straightened paper clip into the manual eject hole and press gently until the tray opens and the disc is released. Please refer to the illustrations below.

    Note: If the disc does not eject immediately, repeat the manual eject procedure until the disc is released.

ZipCD 8x4x32 ATAPI drive

    Caution: Never remove a disc manually while your ZipCD drive is on.

  1. Ensure your computer is off and unplug your computer's power cord from the electrical outlet.
