A CD image is a single large file that represents a set of data and/or audio files, as they will appear on a CD. Please use the following steps to create a CD image and burn a data and/or audio CD using Easy CD Creator.
Note: To verify what version of Easy CD Creator you have; open the Easy CD Creator application, click Help and About Easy CD Creator to view the version number.
STEP ONE - Create a CD image of your data and/or audio files
- Click Start, Programs, Iomega® ZipCD, Features and Easy CD Creator.
- Click File, New CD Layout and choose the type of CD you want to create. You may create a Data CD, Audio CD, Mixed-Mode CD, CD Extra or Bootable CD.
- From the Explorer window, the top portion of the Easy CD Creator window, click the data and/or audio files you want to add to your CD.
- Drag the data and/or audio files into the Layout window, which is the bottom portion of the Easy CD Creator window.
- Click File and Create CD Image.
- Select a location on your hard drive where you want to save the CD image.
Note: Ensure that enough space is located on your hard drive to store the CD image. Across the bottom of the Easy CD Creator window, you can find information about the combined size of all data and/or audio files selected. Please use this as a guide to determine the hard drive space you will need.
- When the image creation process is complete, click OK.
Note: Please keep the Easy CD Creator application open. You will need it for the next step.
- Continue with the next step.
STEP TWO - Create a CD from the CD image
- Place a blank CD into your ZipCD drive.
- Click File and Create CD from CD Image.
- Click the image file you want to make into a CD.
- Click Open.
- Choose the desired settings from the CD Creation Setup window.
Note: You can view more CD creation options by clicking the Advanced button. If you would like to keep your settings as the default settings, click Set as Default at the bottom of the CD Creation Setup window.
- Click OK.
- When the CD creation process is complete, click OK.
The CD image of your data and/or audio files should now be on your CD.
