How do I manually eject a disk from my internal Jaz® drive?
Document #10458e.html

You will need to use the emergency eject button located on the front just below the Jaz® drive disk door to eject your disk. Please use the following steps to remove a disk from your Jaz drive.

Caution: Never force a disk into or out of the Jaz drive. Always make sure the computer power is off before using the emergency disk eject hole.

  1. Close all open applications.

  2. Shut down computer.

  3. Turn off the computer's power.

  4. Straighten a paperclip.

  5. Insert the straight end of the paperclip into the emergency eject hole located on the front of the Jaz drive.

    Is the problem fixed?

Y If the disk ejects using the emergency eject hole then you should now be ready to use your drive.

N If the disk will not manually eject using the emergency eject hole, please do not force the disk, contact the Iomega® Customer Service at http://www.iomega.com/europe/support/english/en_contact.html
