Can discs created with my Iomega® CD-RW (ZipCD™ 650) drive be played on any CD player? Document # 10298e.html CD-R and CD-RW discs created with the Iomega® CD-RW (ZipCD™ 650) drive can be read on multi-read CD players. Virtually all CD-RW drives sold today are multi-read compatible. Many PC OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) provide multi-read compatible CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives as standard equipment with the computers they sell. You should check the owner's manual that came with your computer equipment to ensure the CD player is multi-read compatible. If you intend to play the CDs you create on a car or home stereo system, you may experience problems when trying to play CD-RW discs. CD-R discs are recommended for use with these systems.
