Where can I find updates for my software or any drivers that may be needed for my Iomega® CD-RW, DVD or ZipCD™ 650 drive?

The only operating system that requires you to download and install a driver for your drive to be detected is Windows® 98 and only when you are using a USB drive. To download the Windows 98 driver, please go to the Iomega Software Download site at http://www.iomega.com/software/listing/_98.html?platform=PC&url=%2Fsoftware%2Flisting%2F_98.html&submit=Find

    Iomega CD-RW 4x4x6 or ZipCD 650 4x4x6 USB drive customers using Windows 98: please scroll down the list until you find "USB Driver". Download and install this driver.

    All other Iomega CD-RW (ZipCD 650) USB drive customers: please scroll down the list until you find "USB and FireWire (1394) update module". Download and install this update.

If you want to update your software (for operating system compatibility, etc.), you must download software updates for the CD burning software you are using. Updates are available for your CD burning software, not drivers.

Important: You must have CD burning software installed to burn CDs with your drive. You need to install the software that came with the drive, install a third-party CD burning software or use the built-in CD burning software available with certain operating systems (XP & Mac OS X).

Iomega® CD-RW (ZipCD™ 650) drives ship with:

  • Iomega HotBurn® or HotBurn® Pro software

    OR

  • Adaptec® (Roxio™) software, which includes: Easy CD Creator™, Direct CD™, CD Copier Deluxe™ and/or Toast® software

Iomega® DVD drives ship with:

  • HotBurn® Pro DVD software

    And

  • Sonic™ software, which includes: MyDVD™ and CinePlayer™ software
