How do I format a CD-RW disc using my Iomega® CD-RW or ZipCD™ drive in Windows® 95/98/2000/Me or Windows NT®?

    Warning: Formatting or erasing a CD-RW disc will permanently remove all data from the CD.

  1. Insert a CD-RW disc into the CD-RW drive.

  2. Double-click the DirectCD™ icon on the Windows® task bar. The DirectCD Wizard appears to guide you through the format process.

  3. Click Next and the Drive Information window appears.

  4. Click Next and the Format Disc window appears.

  5. Click Next and the Name Your Disc window appears.

  6. Type a name for the disc (optional).

  7. Click Finish.

  8. Click OK to begin formatting.

  9. Click OK when formatting finishes. The DirectCD disc is now ready for writing information.
