Listed below are instructions which tell you how to copy files and folders to an Iomega® drive if you know, or even if you don't know, where the files and folders are. Please use the instructions provided below.
If you know where the file or folder is located
- Right-click the My Computer icon and click Explore.
- Locate the file(s) or folder(s) you wish to copy. For instance, if the file or folder is located on the hard drive, which is usually drive C, highlight the icon that represents the hard drive.
- Expand the folders by clicking on the plus signs (+) until the desired file or folder is displayed on the right side of the Exploring window.

- If you are copying a single file or folder, click the file or folder to highlight it. If you are copying multiple files or folders, press Ctrl, and click each file or folder to highlight them. You can also click the first file or folder you want copied, press Shift, and click on the last file you want copied to highlight and select a range.
- Click Edit on the menu bar and click Copy.

- On the left side of the Exploring window, locate the icon that represents the Iomega drive you wish to copy the files or folders to. Click the plus sign (+) to expand any folders that may exist on the Iomega media and to navigate to the location where you want the information saved.

- Ensure that the location you wish to copy the file or folder to is highlighted.
- Click Edit on the menu bar and click Paste.

- The file or folder you just copied should now be listed on the right side of the Exploring window and saved to the Iomega disk.
If you do not know the location of the file or folder you wish to copy
- Click Start, Find, then Files or Folders.
- In the Named box, type the name of the file or folder you wish to find.
Note: Ensure the Look in box contains the drive letter of the drive where the file or folder should be located, such as drive C, and that a checkmark is in the box next to Include subfolders.

- After Find has finished the search, the files and folders that were found are displayed at the bottom of the Find window. Locate the file or folder you wish to copy and click to highlight it.
- Click Edit on the menu bar and click Copy.

- Right-click the My Computer icon and click Explore.
- On the left side of the Exploring window, locate the icon that represents the Iomega drive you wish to copy the files or folders to. Click the plus sign (+) to expand any folders that may exist on the Iomega media and to navigate to the location where you want the information saved.
- Ensure that the location you wish to copy the file or folder to is highlighted.
- Click Edit on the menu bar and click Paste.
- The file or folder you just copied should now be listed on the right side of the Exploring window and saved to the Iomega disk.
