Drive Speeds:
Actual drive speed is 8X4X32. The speed the drive achieves depends on the interface. USB1.1 allows drive speeds of 4X4X6, Firewire allow 8X4X32, and PCMCIA allows 4X4X6, USB 2.0 will allow the full 8X4X32 speeds.

- This drive uses both CD-R and 1x4x CD-RW discs!
- CD-R discs can be read or played almost anywhere a CD or DVD can be played. They can be written once.
