Iomega Salutes U.S. Armed Forces With Special Holiday Pricing on Exciting Iomega Products

Reduced Pricing on Many of Iomega's Most Popular Desktop and Portable Hard Drives Now Available at Military Exchanges, Commissaries and Other Locations

SAN DIEGO, December 17, 2009 – Iomega, an EMC company (NYSE: EMC) and a global leader in data protection, today announced in appreciation of the men and women in the United States Armed Forces, Iomega has worked with individual branches of the military exchange system to lower prices in December on many of Iomega's most popular data storage products available at domestic and international military locations.

"Iomega and EMC salute the men and women of the U.S. military this holiday season for all they do throughout the year to serve our country," said Jonathan Huberman, president of Iomega and the Consumer and Small Business Products Division of EMC. "We've reduced the prices of some of our best-selling products, from rugged, easy-to-use portable hard drives to desktop HDDs with up to one terabyte of storage. This is our way of showing our appreciation for the men and women who have served our country, including active duty, reservists and retired military personnel."

Great Storage Drives at Great Prices for the Holidays

During the month of December, Iomega will significantly discount some of its products at Army/Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard retail exchanges where Iomega products are available. Among the Iomega products on sale are Iomega's award-winning line of eGo™ Portable Hard Drives, small form-factor drives that fit in a shirt pocket with storage capacities of 320GB* and 500GB. Included in the sale are USB 2.0 powered eGo Portable Hard Drives, as well as the Mac edition eGo Portable Hard Drive that features three on-board computer interfaces: FireWire® 800, FireWire 400, and USB 2.0. Iomega has also reduced the prices on its 1TB** Prestige Desktop Hard Drive.

The USB 2.0 eGo Portable Hard Drives receive power from a laptop or computer's USB port so there's no power supply to carry around. And unlike other portable hard drives, the new USB 2.0 eGo Portable Hard Drives ship with a "Y" cable which gives users the flexibility to use two USB ports to power the drive, if needed. Each Mac edition eGo Portable Hard Drive comes with one FireWire 800 cable, one FireWire 400 cable and one USB 2.0/power cable.

With up to 500GB of capacity, the eGo Portable Hard Drive can store up to 2,000,000 photos, over 9,250 hours of music or 750 hours of video. The 1TB Prestige Desktop Hard Drive can store up to 4,000,000 photos, over 18,500 hours of music or 1,500 hours of video.***
