SAN DIEGO, March 16, 2005 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data storage, today announced the new IomegaŽ Portable Hard Drive, an ultra-slim high-capacity device that includes IomegaŽ Automatic Backup Pro software for a complete backup and disaster recovery solution. Designed for mobile professionals, the USB-powered Portable Hard Drive requires no external power supply and offers plug-and-play ease of use in capacities of 40GB, 60GB, 80GB and 100GB*.

Important files, photos and music can go anywhere with the Portable Hard Drive, which sports a sleek and compact form factor that is smaller than most PDAs**, fits in a shirt pocket and weighs a mere 5.76 ounces (163 g).

Features and Performance
Because the Iomega Portable Hard Drive is based on 2.5-inch hard disk technology, it is smaller and more energy-efficient than most other similar drives. The 4200-rpm drive has a rugged aluminum enclosure and features a USB 2.0 (Hi-Speed USB) interface for plug-and-play simplicity that is compatible with most Windows and Macintosh computers (see below). A blue drive light signals disk activity, and an on/off switch allows laptop users to power down the device without disconnecting it. Each drive comes with a USB cable, supplementary power cord, and software suite CD that includes Iomega® Automatic Backup (Mac), Iomega® Automatic Backup Pro (PC), MUSICMATCH™ Jukebox music management software (PC and Mac) and Adobe® Photoshop Album™ SE (PC) for digital photos.

Price and Availability
The Iomega Portable Hard Drive is now available in three capacities, 40 GB ($119.95), 60 GB ($149.95), and 80 GB ($199.95); Iomega’s Portable Hard Drive 100GB ($299.95) is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2005. All prices are U.S. suggested retail.
