Iomega Corporation Celebrates Twenty-Five Years of Business

SAN DIEGO, March 31, 2005 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data storage, is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary with commemorative activities throughout 2005, including a special online sale, a sweepstakes giveaway and a traveling product exhibition in the fall that will culminate with a public birthday celebration.

During its first quarter-century, Iomega's products have been embraced by millions of computer users worldwide. To celebrate, the Iomega online store is hosting a eight-day 25th Anniversary Celebration Sale beginning April 4th, with 25 percent off featured Iomega solutions, including external hard drives, Zip drives, USB flash drives, DVD burners and the new Iomega REV drive.*

Iomega's 25-year history stretches back to April 2, 1980, and the early years of the personal computer revolution. The company was founded by four former IBM engineers who invented a radical new approach to the problem of keeping the read/write heads of a magnetic storage device from contacting the rotating platter. Their crash-proof drive was commercialized in 1982 as the Bernoulli drive, a 10-megabyte removable disk and drive that changed the way businesses and computer hobbyists utilized portable computer storage.

In March 1995, Iomega launched the low-cost Iomega Zip 100MB drive for the consumer and small business market. It was an instant success that revolutionized the storage industry, becoming one of the fastest-selling and most successful peripherals in the history of computing.
