IOMEGA ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF ITS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

SAN DIEGO, May 17, 2004 ­Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM) today announced that Barry Zwarenstein has resigned from his position as chief financial officer, effective June 11, 2004.

“Barry’s contributions have been significant during his time at Iomega and I thank him for those contributions and wish him the best of luck in his new position,” said Werner T. Heid, president and CEO of Iomega Corporation.

“It was a very difficult decision to leave Iomega and all the people I have enjoyed working with here,” stated Barry Zwarenstein. “However, I have been commuting weekly between the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego for more than two and one-half years. Accepting the CFO position, which has been offered to me with a Bay Area company, will both be in the best interests of my family and will allow me to develop my career in a new direction. I wish my Iomega colleagues all the best in the future.”

The Company has actively begun the process to recruit a new chief financial officer.
