Award-Winning Super DVD Writers Reach New Performance Plateau

SAN DIEGO, February 27, 2004 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data storage, today announced the availability of two new members of its award-winning all-format Super DVD line: the Super DVD QuikTouch™ Video Burner and the Super DVD Writer, both with leading-edge 8x write performance. With an expanded bundle of software applications and Mac® compatibility (Super DVD Writer only), the new Iomega 8x Super DVD drives give PC enthusiasts the right tool for virtually any CD or DVD creation task.

“Iomega’s Super DVD burners will appeal to users who want the choice of writing to any of the three major DVD disc formats,” said Sean Burke, vice president, mobile and desktop products, Iomega Corporation. “The QuikTouch video burner goes one step further and gives users the easiest way yet to preserve their analog videotape collection on DVD.”

Iomega® Super DVD QuikTouch™ Video Burner 8x USB 2.0 External Drive
The Super DVD QuikTouch™ Video Burner features an integrated video capture card for one-touch video transfer to any industry standard DVD or CD format. Simply press the QuikTouch button, push “Play” on the source VCR or camcorder, and the QuikTouch Video Burner detects the recording media, launches the software, captures the video and burns the disc automatically. Other key features include end-of-video detection and three resolution settings for up to six hours of video transfer.

Iomega® Super DVD Writer 8x All-Format USB 2.0 External Drive
Iomega’s Super DVD Writer is ideal for those who don’t need built-in video capture capability. It also features Mac® compatibility and Symantec® Norton Ghost™ disaster recovery software.

True 8x Design
Both Iomega Super DVD drives feature true 8x DVD recording capability in the DVD+R recording mode. Competing products often rely on “overburn,” the practice of making firmware changes to 4x drives to bypass their internal design limits. The Iomega drives are 8x by design, for a more stable and reliable DVD-burning platform.

Both new drives read and write all DVD and CD formats, including DVD+RW (8x4x12x), DVD-RW (4x2x12x), DVD-RAM (3x), and CD-RW (24x16x32x). In addition, 24x DAE (digital audio extraction) speeds the process of ripping audio CDs.

Iomega’s 8x design is an update to the original Iomega Super DVD Writer, which was honored with the ‘Best of CeBIT America’ award for personal technology in June 2003.

Bundled Software
An included Windows®-based DVD Wizard takes the guesswork out of burning a CD or DVD: simply choose the task and the DVD Wizard launches the right software title and suggests the best disc type for the task.

Software titles include the award-winning Sonic™ MyDVD™ video-editing software, Sonic™ CinePlayer™ software for the highest quality video playback, MUSICMATCH® Jukebox™ music management software, and Adobe® Photoshop® Album SE photo management software.

Also included is Iomega’s HotBurn® Pro software for easy, two-step DVD and CD burning, and Iomega® Automatic Backup software, a PC Magazine Editor’s Choice for real-time backup software (June 17, 2003, edition). Iomega Automatic Backup is also available separately at www.iomega.com for $39.95.

Compatibility
Both new drives are supported by PCs running Windows 98SE and above with a USB 2.0 connection. Iomega’s Super DVD Writer 8x All-Format USB 2.0 External Drive is also compatible with Power Macintosh® G4 or faster with a built-in USB 2.0 connection and Mac OS® 10.2.7 or newer.
