Full line of Iomega NAS Products Now Available for Dictaphone Solutions

SAN DIEGO, August 4, 2003 — Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data storage, today announced that it has become one of the preferred providers of Windows® powered network attached storage (NAS) products for Dictaphone Corporation’s Communications Recording Systems (CRS) group.

Effectively immediately, Iomega’s NAS products, ranging in capacity from 160 gigabytes to 1.4 terabytes, will be available to provide storage options for all users of Dictaphone’s Freedom® recording systems. Communications recordings, as well as video surveillance recordings, can be archived from the Freedom® system to an Iomega NAS product for secure, long-term storage. The recordings can then be accessed from the NAS device remotely, providing instantaneous access to recordings throughout the enterprise.

“We are extremely pleased that Dictaphone has chosen Iomega as a storage supplier for its industry-leading voice and data technology products,” said Greg Rhine, Vice President and General Manager, Americas sales, Iomega Corporation. “Iomega’s Windows Powered NAS servers deliver the flexibility and reliability that Dictaphone’s customers need for managing important voice and data content.”

Dictaphone products offered through the CRS division include Freedom® Digital Recording solutions for customer contact centers, public safety, and financial services applications.

According to Ed Rucinski, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Dictaphone’s CRS™ group, “Our customers want reliable, standards-based solutions that are well supported, and Iomega is a well-known brand that has been building a strong reputation with its NAS products. Iomega’s Windows Powered NAS servers also integrate easily into existing networks, offering high-availability storage for 24/7 environments.”

Iomega NAS servers offer flexible, cross-platform solutions that businesses need for organizing, sharing, and protecting their critical data. Iomega’s broad line of NAS servers ranges from the A205m, which breaks the $1000 price barrier for Windows Powered NAS servers, to Iomega’s P850m NAS server, which offers 1.44TB of usable capacity; dual CPUs; hot-swappable drives, fans, and power supplies; RAID 5 and RAID 5+ hot spare; dual Gigabit Ethernet with TCP offload engine; and Ultra 160 SCSI for external backup.
