Norton Ghost 2003 To Ship With Iomega® HDD Portable and HDD Desktop Hard Drives
SAN DIEGO,
October 31, 2002 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in portable data storage, today announced a bundling agreement with Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) to include its Norton Ghost 2003 with Iomega® HDD External Hard Drive products, giving Iomega customers a complete solution for protecting data from computer disasters.
Beginning in November, the state-of-the-art Iomega HDD External Hard Drive products, which range in capacity from 20GB to 120GB, will include a free copy of Norton Ghost 2003 software, which has an estimated retail value of $70. With Norton Ghost 2003 and Iomega® Automatic Backup software, users of the Iomega HDD External Hard Drives will have fast, simple, and reliable file backups, disk imaging, and safe and quick system recovery, to enable PC hard drive upgrades and complete disaster recovery.
