New Professional Series Offers Exceptional Performance with
Removable 3.5" MO Disks

ROY, Utah, February 5, 2001 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced the European release of the Iomega® MO 1.3GB Professional Series of Magneto-optical drives. Working closely with Fujitsu, an MO technology pioneer, Iomega's new drive is currently shipping in Europe and provides professionals with a flexible new choice in reliable, high-end storage.

Magneto-optical drives combine the speed and capacity of optical technology with the flexibility and reliability of magnetic drives. Iomega's MO drives read and write to 1.3GB MO disks, with transfer rates up to 5.9MB/sec. The MO disks are encased in a permanent plastic housing, reducing disk exposure to damaging elements such as dust, moisture and shock.
