Iomega Ships Datasafe Network Attached
Storage Servers
Iomega Servers Include QuikSync 3

June 6, 2001 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM),

announced that it is now shipping Iomega® DataSafeTM
NAS 160GB and 320GB network attached storage servers
worldwide.
Iomega DataSafe NAS servers deliver
excellent performance for as little as $16 per gigabyte,
reducing the expense and complexity of network storage
compared with using general-purpose servers. DataSafe
NAS servers incorporate Windows® 2000 technology
and offer multiple Ethernet connections and RAID 5 data
protection. A 50-seat license for Iomega QuikSyncTM
3 automatic client backup software, valued at $600,
is included with Iomega DataSafe 320GB servers, allowing
IT professionals to easily implement automatic backup
through their network. A 20-seat license is included
with the DataSafe 160GB server.
Iomega DataSafe NAS servers install
in minutes with no network downtime and are compatible
with Windows, Linux/UNIX, Macintosh® and NetWare
clients. DataSafe NAS servers can be monitored remotely
through a Web browser interface and offer network status
reporting and automatic e-mail alerts.
Iomega DataSafe NAS servers are available
now for a suggested price of $4,999 (320GB model) or
$3299 (160GB model). DataSafe NAS servers are available
directly from Iomega and through distribution and channel
