announced that it will market CompactFlash and
SmartMedia portable storage under the

The addition of Iomega-branded solid state flash media
represents another step in Iomega's ongoing commitment
to provide customers with multiple storage solutions.
Beginning in March 2001, Iomega will offer CompactFlash
cards with capacities of 16MB, 32MB, 64MB and 128MB
and SmartMedia cards with capacities of 16MB, 32MB and

for a variety of handheld electronic devices.
"Iomega is the premier provider of removable storage
solutions, so extending our brand into the flash media
market is a natural for us," said Doug Collier,
vice president of marketing, product management and
market development. "Adding CompactFlash and SmartMedia
storage to Iomega's product mix gives us access to a
wider variety of portable devices. With worldwide aftermarket
shipments of these two media formats expected to exceed
25 million units in 2001, we're confident we will capitalize
on this growing market."
Portable storage devices that utilize flash memory technology
include digital cameras, PDAs, camcorders, digital audio
players and laptops. Iomega's new flash memory cards
will be supported by Iomega's award-winning customer
satisfaction team and extended warranty options.
Iomega flash memory cards are expected to be available
