ROY, Utah, October 19, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, presented a check for $220,000 to Mark Staker, chairman of the United Way of Northern Utah, on Friday, October 13th.

"This year's donation is the gratifying result of a great United Way campaign by our Utah employees," said Iomega president and CEO, Bruce Albertson. "I am proud of the generosity and spirit of giving they put forth to help make a difference in our local community."

Iomega's Utah employees raised $110,000 with 50% of employees participating; Iomega Corporation's 100% matching donation raised the total to $220,000. This is a dramatic increase from 1999's 16% employee participation rate and Iomega's two-thirds matching donation, which together raised $60,499.96.

The theme of Iomega's United Way Campaign 2000 was "I CAN share my good fortune." Employee events included a Chinese luncheon, games, an auction, a carnival and a coloring contest for children of employees. Iomega displayed event photos in various locations throughout the company using FotoShow(tm), the company's new digital image center.
