Iomega Corporation To Redeem Convertiible Notes

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROY, Utah, September 22, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, announced today that it has called for redemption on October 23, 2000 all of the company's outstanding 6 3/4 % convertible subordinated notes due March 15, 2001. Notes in an aggregate principal amount of approximately $45.5 million are currently outstanding. The Company had previously announced on September 8, 2000 its intention to call the notes.
The redemption price of the notes is $1,013.50 per $1,000 principal amount of notes, together with accrued and unpaid interest from September 15, 2000 to the redemption date of October 23, 2000. The notes are convertible into common stock at a conversion price of $4.9375 per share. The conversion right expires at 5:00 p.m. New York City time on October 19, 2000.
The note redemption will be funded using the company's available working capital.
