FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2000-- Agreement Highlights Iomega's Strategic Move into the Consumer Marketplace and Signals Surging Retail Confidence in Iomega Products Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced it has signed a sales and marketing agreement with RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH), the nation's largest retailer of consumer electronic products and services. Under terms of the agreement, RadioShack stores and dealers nationwide will sell popular Iomega drives and disks from Iomega's Zip(R), Clik!(TM) and ZipCD(TM) product lines. It is expected that Iomega products will be available in September. "Approximately ninety-four percent of Americans live or work within five minutes of a RadioShack store," said Bruce Albertson, president and CEO, Iomega Corporation. "This massive popularity attests to its emphasis on excellent customer service and convenient locations. We are absolutely thrilled to begin a working business relationship with such a fine organization that has such a strong presence on Main Street America." Rick Borinstein, Senior Vice President of Merchandising for RadioShack Corporation said, "We take pride in our role as a well known and trusted source of great products and technical knowledge. There is a strong demand for Iomega's high-quality products, and we anticipate our customers will appreciate the convenience of having Iomega drives and disks available in local RadioShack stores." "The relationship between RadioShack and Iomega will be a great asset to both companies and to consumers," said Phil Raleigh, director of retail sales, Iomega Corporation. "The combination of both company's strengths will ensure a win for all parties and is an exciting beginning to Iomega's push toward greater retail expansion." Iomega's award-winning Zip drive, introduced in 1995, has become an extremely popular storage solution in both PC and Macintosh markets. Iomega Zip(R) drives and genuine 100MB and 250MB disks offer an easy to use solution for consumers to save, protect and share information on their computers. Fast enough to run business and multimedia applications, the Zip drive brings a new level of performance to today's powerful personal computers. The Zip 250(TM) drive also reads and writes to Zip 100MB disks, ensuring that current customers who use the Zip 250MB drive still have the ability to share information with family, friends and colleagues. With the introduction of its ZipCD CD-RW product line in August 1999, Iomega made a strong entrance into the optical market. Iomega has furthered its presence with the introduction of several variations of its ZipCD, including the uniquely-designed ZipCD USB. The ZipCD(TM) 4x4x6 external USB drive enables both PC users running Windows(R) 98, and Macintosh(R) computer users running Mac OS 8.6-9.x, to record, archive, share and distribute up to 650MB of data on a common CD format. Iomega's ZipCD drives are high-capacity, easy-to-use and ideal for saving and sharing original music, personal photos, games, Internet content and more. In addition, the USB interface allows quick and easy installation and "plug-and-play" capability for the drive. Offering the ultimate in portability and ease of use, Iomega's credit card-sized Clik!(TM) PC Card drive fits inside the PC Card slot on most laptops and comes ready to use - no cables, batteries or software required for compatibility with Windows(R) 98 or 2000. The Clik! PC Card drive is one of the most convenient ways to share content between laptop users and was recently awarded first place for best mobile storage device at Mobile Insights' Sixth Annual Mobility Awards. In April 2000, Iomega announced shipping of its Clik! PC Card dock. The Clik!(TM) PC Card dock allows laptop users to easily share data with most USB-enabled PC and Mac(R) desktops without complex network connections, lengthy e-mail downloads or the capacity limitations of floppy drives. About Iomega Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM) manufactures and markets the award-winning Zip(R), Jaz(R) and Clik!(TM) drives and disks and markets the ZipCD(TM) CD-RW drives and discs. Iomega's products help people to save, share, manage and create important information such as spreadsheets, slides, Internet downloads, audio files and personal photographs, while helping protect that content from viruses and hackers.
