FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Iomega Quik Sync 2 Software Shipping in Asia Pacific

ROY, Utah, December 7, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced that Iomega Quik Sync 2 software will begin shipping to Asia Pacific markets this week.

This international retail version of Iomega's Quik Sync 2 software, which provides automatic on-the-fly backup to protect important data from virus and system malfunctions, includes support for Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. It is expected to arrive at retail channels in late December at an estimated retail price of $19.95 (USD).

"With Iomega's international shipment of Quik Sync 2 software in the Asia Pacific region, Iomega is establishing a worldwide presence in software solutions," said Roxie Craycraft, executive vice president, international business units, Iomega Corporation. "Global availability helps us support international clients that want to roll out Quik Sync 2 software in the enterprise segment, while also solving the backup needs of a large new audience of consumers."

To help launch the new product, Iomega will be bundling Quik Sync 2 software with a Zip(r) drive at the Sitex 2000 show held in Singapore Dec. 7-10th. The 30-day trial version of the software is also being distributed with IT magazines in the region, as well as online through Iomega and reseller Web sites.

Iomega Quik Sync 2 software lets users monitor multiple folders on their hard drive or network drive. Every time users save a file to one of these folders, Quik Sync 2 software automatically stores a copy of that file on an Iomega Zip, Jaz(, PocketZip( or Iomega CD-RW drive. In addition, the user can choose to save revisions of files instead of overwriting files that have been previously copied to their backup disk.
