ROY, Utah, December 18, 2000 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced that Iomega president and CEO Bruce Albertson has been named to the MacDirectory Top Ten, a list honoring visionaries who embody the spirit of the Macintosh community.

The 2000 MacDirectory Top Ten list singles out leaders in the Macintosh community based on vision, ability to execute profitably on that vision, and impact on the Mac community.

"Iomega demonstrated excellence in each of our categories during the course of 2000," said Ron Mwangaguhunga, Senior Editor, MacDirectory. "In the third category, Impact, Iomega performed exceptionally well. In 2000 Iomega cemented their position as a central player in the Mac community."

In addition to Bruce Albertson, other leaders on this year's list include John Warnock of Adobe Systems, Rob Burgess of Macromedia, Craig Winkler of MYOB, Adam Engst of TidBITS, Alan Deutschman of Vanity Fair, and Carly Fiorina of Hewlett-Packard, along with Apple leaders Steve Jobs, Lee Clow, and Steve Wozniak.

"It's an honor to be among those named in MacDirectory's Top Ten," said Bruce Albertson, president and CEO, Iomega Corporation. "At Iomega our vision is to help people protect and share their digital lives. In 2000 we pursued that goal by entering the consumer electronics space with HipZip and FotoShow, updating our Zip, Jaz and CD-RW lines, and launching software applications like Quik Sync 2 software. We expect to build on that product lineup in 2001."
